Deep Plane Facelift in Paris for international patients

Pr. Meningaud

A deep plane facelift is a surgical technique that repositions deeper facial tissues rather than only tightening the skin. It is commonly chosen to address:

  • midface descent and jowls
  • neck laxity (often combined with neck contouring)
  • a “tired” or “heavy” lower face appearance

Important: the best technique depends on your anatomy, skin quality, and goals. The final surgical plan is confirmed after an in-person examination in Paris.

Below is a sample schedule. It may be adjusted depending on your procedure plan and recovery.

Before you travel (online):

  • Online consultation (video) + review of standardized photos
  • Medical history screening and discussion of goals
  • You receive a personalized plan, pre-op instructions, and a provisional quote
  • We confirm dates and travel timing

In Paris (15 days):
Day 1–2 – In-person consultation in Paris

  • Physical examination, facial analysis, confirmation of plan
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment and any required tests

Day 3–5 – Surgery at Clinique Eiffel (Paris)

  • Procedure performed under anesthesia by Prof. Meningaud with an experienced anesthesia team
  • Post-op monitoring as indicated

Day 6–14 – Structured follow-up and recovery

  • Scheduled in-person checkups (typically multiple visits)
  • Dressing/suture care plan, swelling/bruising management, scar care guidance
  • Clear criteria for safe travel home (based on clinical exam)

Day 15 – Final check + “back-home” plan

  • Written aftercare and follow-up schedule
  • Guidance for your return flight and first weeks at home

We continue follow-up remotely with scheduled video visits (example):

  • Week 1 after return
  • 1 month
  • 3 months
  • 6 months
  • 12 months (and beyond if needed)

You will also receive practical guidance on what to do if you need local care (e.g., routine wound checks). Whenever possible, we coordinate with your local physician if required.

To provide accurate guidance, we typically request:

  • Standardized photos (front, 45°, profile, neck, smile) in good lighting
  • A short list of your goals (top 3 concerns)
  • Medical/surgical history, medications, allergies
  • Smoking/vaping status (very important for healing)
  • Recommended stay: 15 days to allow in-person follow-ups before flying back
  • You’ll receive: practical packing list, post-op essentials, and timing guidance
  • We can suggest nearby accommodation options (neutral recommendations)

A facelift improves facial and neck laxity, contour, and facial “heaviness.” It does not stop aging and cannot guarantee a specific “look.” During consultation we discuss what can realistically be achieved in your case, including limits and trade-offs.

FAQ — Deep Plane Facelift in Paris

Aesthetic Surgery in Paris 16

Candidates often have jowls, midface descent, neck laxity, or a heavier lower face. Suitability depends on anatomy, skin quality, medical history, and your goals. This is confirmed in person in Paris.

The goal is a refreshed, natural appearance—without an “operated” look. Results vary and depend on facial structure, tissue quality, and healing.

Incisions are typically placed around the ear and within natural creases and hair-bearing areas when possible. Scar appearance evolves over months, and scar care is part of the follow-up plan.

Most patients describe tightness and discomfort more than severe pain. A structured pain-control plan is provided.

Swelling and bruising are expected early on, usually improving week by week. Many patients look socially presentable after a few weeks, but subtle swelling can last longer.

With a 15-day stay, we aim to have you cleared based on clinical examination before travel. The exact timing depends on your recovery and procedure plan.

Sometimes yes (e.g., neck contouring, eyelids, fat grafting), but it depends on safety, operating time, and recovery considerations. This is decided case-by-case.

Smoking/vaping significantly increases risks for wound healing and skin complications. We will provide strict pre- and post-op guidance—honesty here is crucial.

Certain medications and supplements can increase bleeding risk. You’ll receive a tailored checklist during the pre-op process. Never stop prescription medications without medical guidance.

You will receive clear written instructions, scheduled video follow-ups, and guidance on when to seek local evaluation. If needed, we coordinate with your local physician.

All surgery carries risks (bleeding, infection, scarring, asymmetry, nerve-related weakness, skin healing issues, anesthesia risks, etc.). These are explained in detail during consultation, along with how we prevent and manage them.

Because costs vary depending on anatomy and the exact surgical plan, you receive a written quote after evaluation (online + in-person confirmation). We focus on clarity—what is included, and what is not. The overall price starts from €20,000.
