Hyaluronic acid injection techniques

Injection techniques are as important as the product injected. The technique itself delivers significant, even stunning results.

It’s not a question of simple injections. Depth, angle of injection, speed of injection, orientation of the needle bevel, synchronisation with the forward or backward movement of the needle and plunger all contribute to very different results, depending on the areas to be treated.

Who can perform hyaluronic acid injections?

The practitioner’s technical training is fundamental. With this in mind, in 2011 I created a university diploma in aesthetic medicine, which places as much emphasis on theory as on learning technical gestures (www.dutic.info).

Hyaluronic acid injections: for which areas?

Depending on the characteristics of the hyaluronic acid injected, it’s possible to effectively treat fine lines, dark circles, nasolabial folds, tear troughs and temples hollowed by age, or restore volume to cheekbones or the chin. In some cases, medical rhinoplasty is also possible. Hyaluronic acid has many other properties. In particular, it improves skin hydration and stimulates collagen synthesis by fibroblasts.

Example of immediate results from treatment of nasolabial folds with hyaluronic acid (case study by Prof. Jean-Paul Meningaud).

Example of results after one year of treatment, without Botox®, of forehead wrinkles with hyaluronic acid using the blanching technique, which induces endogenous collagen synthesis (case study by Prof. Jean-Paul Meningaud).
